With a new year, comes new construction projects in Campbell River and surrounding areas.
Mainroad says crews will be replacing a few culverts around town this week. These are the small channels that allow water to flow under roads.
Starting tomorrow (Jan. 18th) until Wednesday, crews will be keeping busy in Black Creek on Tsolumn River Road and Macaulay Road. At both locations, they’ll be replacing culverts between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.
Meanwhile, in Campbell River, crews will be working on Henry Road this coming Tuesday. They’ll be following the same schedule, on-site from 8:00 am till 5:00 pm.
As crews replace culverts, roads will be reduced to single lane alternating traffic. Mainroad is now urging drivers to plan ahead, as 20 to 30-minute delays are expected.
