There’s still a fire ban in the Campbell River area.
Coastal Fire Centre Fire information officer Marg Drysdale says despite the rain we have in area, there are areas that are drying out quickly.
She adds even if more rain comes, they need to measure the gauges first before taking off the fire ban.
Drysdale says some large areas have already gone up to moderate fire rating.
