Campfires are now allowed in the Campbell River Natural Resource District.
But Coastal Fire Centre’s information officer Marg Drysdale says to make sure you are within the Coastal Fire Centre’s jurisdiction before starting one.
Drydale says Campbell River has seen some rain in the last couple days, and is planning on having more rain in the future, so it is safe to lift the ban.
