Locals may experience a drop in water pressure tomorrow

The City of Campbell River is getting the word out that residents in select areas could experience a drop in water pressure tomorrow (Tuesday).

That’s because water crews will be working on one of the city’s larger water supply lines. According to the City, the work is expected to be completed sometime during the day.

And once service is fully restored and water is flowing at normal pressure again, the City urges locals to check their system by turning on a cold water tap part way.

“If water pressure is variable, and there is air in the pipe system, let the water run until it flows normally,” City staff says. “If the water is slightly discoloured, leave the cold water tap running until the water runs clear.”

The City adds that there’s no need to report drops in pressure. However, if people have other water-related service concerns, they can contact the City’s Dogwood Operations Centre at [email protected] or call (250) 286-4033.
