A 41 year old Courtenay man is set to make his first appearance in Courtenay Provincial Court tomorrow, on a second degree murder charge, in the homicide of a Comox Valley man late Tuesday night.

Corporal Simmons says the Comox Valley RCMP Major Crime Section is continuing their investigation.
At about 10:40 p.m. on Tuesday night, RCMP responded to an incident on the pathway behind Courtenay City Hall, and found the victim suffering from severe injuries. 23 year old Kevin John Burns of Courtenay was pronounced dead shortly after in Comox Hospital.
