North Island MLA and local MP, weigh in on Northern Gateway approval

There are still plenty of hoops to jump through before the Northern Gateway Pipeline project moves ahead, 209 conditions to be exact, that response from local MP John Duncan on the feds giving the project the green light.

Meanwhile, North Island MLA Claire Trevena says putting conditions on the federal approval simply isn’t good enough. She says the government is not listening to what has been said for years.

BC environmental groups are blasting the decision from the federal government to approve the controversial project, promising to fight tooth and nail to stop the pipeline from being built.
