Sailing cancellations abound for the Powell River Queen this week. That’s the ferry taking travellers from Campbell River to Quadra Island and vice-versa.
Annual operational readiness drills scheduled for this Thursday and Friday (Nov. 4 & 5) means the 8 pm, 8:30 pm, 9 pm and 9:30 pm sailings are cancelled on both days.
According to BC Ferries, regular sailings will resume with the 10 pm departure from Quathiaski Cove (Quadra Island).
It’s now thanking customers for their patience and understanding “during these important safety and emergency training events.”
