Vehicle crash to blame for Friday power outage in Campbell River

UPDATE: In its latest update, BC Hydro expects the power to come back around 4 pm.

A Friday morning power outage in Campbell River has left 1,590 customers in the dark, according to BC Hydro.

It’s been off since 9:14 am, with a ‘vehicle incident’ to blame. 

Crews are currently on site working to restore the power for areas east of Gold River Hwy., west of Homewood Rd., south of Island Way and north of 9th Ave.
