Campbell River city council has approved a $2,500 contribution for the 2022 Wounded Warrior Run BC.
The run is scheduled from Feb. 27 to Mar. 6 and will be in Campbell River on Mar. 1-2.
The money is coming from council’s contingency fund.
The decision was made at the most recent regular city council meeting after correspondence with Jacqueline Zweng, director of Wounded Warrior Run BC.
The 2021 Wounded Warrior Run BC was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Wounded Warrior Run raises money for programs that support veterans, first responders and their families.
