Tourism Vancouver Island has laid out their Strategic Plan for 2015 to 2017.
President Dave Petryk says their goal is always to attract more people to the island, but they’re also going to be focusing on four specific audiences a little closer to home.
Petryk says the tourism industry generates about 1.8 billion dollars in economic activity on the island.
He says about 50% of that is in Victoria, and the other half is north of the Malahat.
