Hometown Hockey tour coming to Campbell River

Hockey will be at the centre of attention on a spring weekend in Campbell River with the arrival of a popular festival.

The Rogers Hometown Hockey Tour will be heading across Canada once again this year, showing up in Campbell River from April 16 to 18. The event will take place in front of the Maritime Heritage Centre property.

It will have a weekend of hockey-themed events along with local vendors. The broadcast of the event will be hosted by Ron MacLean and Tara Slone on Monday evening, live from the centre.

Mayor Andy Adams hopes to reunite the community after the last couple of years.

“Everyone is welcome to get involved by joining in on festival activities and events,” said Adams. “This is a great opportunity to reconnect our community following a couple of difficult years, and celebrate our shared passion for hockey and the sport in general.”

More information will be announced closer to April. Details can be found here.
