Two men detained in Campbell River after theft investigation

Two men were detained in Campbell River on Tuesday after a theft investigation.

RCMP say they received a report that day at approximately 2 a.m. about two men leaving the BC Ferries terminal in the city with items that were believed to be stolen.

Footprints downtown security patrol spotted the suspects and informed police, who took the men into custody.

RCMP say around $2500 worth of fishing gear was recovered, and the men had multiple outstanding warrants.
