Nominations are open for the the City of Campbell River’s Stewardship Awards.
The awards recognize groups, individuals or businesses in the city who are reducing their ecological footprint and improving natural areas.
“The City’s Stewardship Awards honour citizen dedication to conservation and work to improve the beauty and health of our local environment,” said city manager Deborah Sargent.
“Recognizing the extraordinary efforts and breadth of contributions from those in our community is an important part of protecting our natural areas now and in the future by inspiring continued environmental stewardship.”
Nomination forms can be found at city hall or here, and nominations will remain open until Sept. 12.
The 21st Stewardship Awards are being held on Sept. 25 at Haig-Brown House.
