The City of Campbell River’s Winter/Spring Recreation guide is now available online.
Registration is open, with the guide covering recreation programs that include cooking, science, singing, arts and crafts, and various sports from January to May 2023.
One of those programs is the Summerside Friends Club, which offers a fun and safe space for youth to gather, including those with disabilities.
Sports equipment is also available in the club for physical literacy, with highly qualified staff who act as positive role models.
Robin Mitchell, Recreation and Culture Manager for the City of Campbell River says that the recreation’s motto is all ages, stages, and abilities.
“The city is committed to creating and maintaining diverse programs in our community,” says Mitchell. “Recreation’s motto, ‘All ages, stages, and abilities,’ is put into action through programs like Summerside Friends Club and I would like to share a heartfelt thank-you to the community organizations that support Specialized Recreation.”
