Campbell River Tourism meeting scheduled for Tuesday

A Tourism Advisory Committee Meeting is set to take place in Campbell River on Tuesday.

The meeting will involve a presentation giving an introductory overview of the recently-launched Labour Market Partnership Project, discussing its scope, activities, and objectives.

Tourism, health and wellness, forest, and aquaculture are key areas for the project.

Also on the agenda for that day will be a presentation on the upcoming Destination BC SPARK Program set to launch this February.

It’s an application-based tourism incubator with a focus on early-stage ideas, as well as a three-month mentorship and grant program that’s set on supporting new tourism ideas, experiences and partnerships in a specific community, area or region.

Destination Think! staff will present an update report for the city of Campbell River, with a roundtable discussion planned for the meeting.

The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday at 8:30 in the morning.
