St John Ambulance set to run free Opioid Training Course

You can take a course dedicated to Opioid training in Campbell River, for free.

Run by St. John Ambulance, the program is a response to the ongoing rise of opioid poisonings across Canada.

Topics included in the program include stigma and harm reduction, the types of opioids and their effects, naloxone and its uses, how to respond to an opioid poisoning emergency, and self-care after a traumatic event.

The class is free, with participants getting two nasal naloxone kits, each valuing 150 dollars.

It’s scheduled for March 25th at the St. John Ambulance branch, from 2 pm to 4 pm.
