Island Health says that due to limited staff availability, the outpatient lab at North Island Hospital will be closed on Saturday.
They say sample drop off will still be available for normal hours between 7:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. and inpatient and emergency lab services will not be affected.
If you are requiring non-urgent lab work, Island Health asks you to attend the lab when it re-opens on April 3 or go to the LifeLabs in Courtenay.
They apologize for any inconvenience.
