A wind warning for North Vancouver Island is predicting wind speeds up to 110 km/h on Thursday.
According to Environment and Climate Change Canada, the strong southeast winds will develop Thursday morning as a low-pressure system approaches the area.
They add the wind will be the strongest in the morning, particularly along exposed coastal sections, before it starts to ease in the afternoon.
Damage to buildings is possible along with roof shingles and windows. Power outages are also possible, according to the weather agency.
They ask you to monitor forecasts as the system progresses.
