‘When Pigs Fly’ Radiothon Thursday will raise donations for families, kids in need

Tomorrow all day you can help families who need to travel for medical appointments, as part of the third annual “When Pigs Fly” Radiothon.

Starting at 6 am, 99.7 The River and 98.9 Jet FM will be broadcasting in front of the Maritime Heritage Centre to raise awareness for Qwalayu House, which gives pregnant women and families a place to stay when they need to travel for their children’s health care.

The house is near the Campbell River Hospital and is owned and operated by the Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island. It offers 10 bedrooms, a kitchen, private rooms and a backyard where kids can play. It relies 100% on donations to operate.

Come visit the team and donate in person tomorrow, or donate online directly to the Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island.
