Province attempts to seize Petersen Road biker clubhouse in connection with murder

The BC government is trying to seize a property in Campbell River where a man was murdered by a Hells Angels associate.

The director of civil forfeiture filed a statement of claim on Wednesday against Richard Alexander, asking for a court order to seize the Devil’s Army clubhouse on Petersen Road. Mixed martial arts fighter Dillon Brown was murdered at the clubhouse in March 2016. Alexander was convicted of first-degree murder earlier this year.

The civil forfeiture lawsuit alleges that the Devil’s Army is a support club for the Hells Angels and that both “are criminal organizations.”

The suit argues the property should be forfeited as “proceeds of and an instrument of unlawful activity.” The government move to seize a biker clubhouse is the fourth so far in the province.
