Water restrictions now at Stage 2, reducing weekly watering times

Effective today, Campbell River is now in Stage 2 watering restrictions, to protect the water supply during drought conditions.

The restrictions mean lawns, gardens, trees and shrubs can only be watered by irrigation once per week.

Residential watering is permitted from 5-9 am and 7-10 pm on Mondays for even-numbered addresses, and Thursdays for odd-numbered addresses.

Watering gardens and plant beds by hand using a hose with an automatic shut-off is permitted at any time.

The restrictions are necessary to meet high residential demand while maintaining enough water for fire safety.
