In an effort to help its residents stay cool during the heat wave, an outdoor pool and splash park’s hours have been extended to beat the heat.
The city says the Centennial Outdoor Pool will be open until 8:30 p.m., while the Willow Point Splash Park will be open from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. up to and through Wednesday. They add fees will be waived for the pool users.
Water restrictions have also been eased by the city so residents can set up sprinklers to help stay cool.
They’re asking you to have a heat plan that identifies cooling options (such as public libraries), ways to cool down, and vulnerable family members who may need to be checked on.
