The NIC Foundation awarded $60,000 to Campbell River Students this year.
Media spokesperson Susan Auchterlonie says it’s an excellent program, and they are overwhelming thankful they have so many donors from the community.
Auchterlonie says they’ve have consistent long term donors in the Campbell River region.
She adds new donors are starting to donate because the money stays in the Campbell River. It’s helping students who are in the city get their education and also stay in the community afterwards.
