Speed limits on highway 19 are going up

The Ministry of Transportation has just released their Rural Highway Safety and Speed Review and it says the speed limit on the Inland Island Highway from Parksville to Campbell River is going up to 120 kilometers an hour.

The limit from Campbell River to Sayward is going up to 100 kilometers an hour, and the stretch between Port McNeill and Port Hardy is going up to 100 kilometers an hour too.

A press release says the new speed limits will be phased in over the summer.
