A new cannabis retail store is hoping to open up shop in the Tyee Plaza downtown.
Plane Jane Cannabis Company has applied to operate a non-medical cannabis retail store in the mall’s southeast corner location, beside Pizza Pizza and across from the Discovery Inn.
The business owner has applied through the provincial liquor and cannabis regulation branch, but will also require a council resolution in support of a non-medical cannabis retail licence.
Anyone who believes their interests are affected can comment before December 14, when council will hold a meeting to review the application. Comments can be emailed to [email protected], be sure to quote file P2300073.
If approved, it will be the third private retail cannabis store in Campbell River.
