Knights of Columbus seeking volunteers for Christmas hamper deliveries

As the delivery day for Knights of Columbus approaches, they are putting out a call to help get all the hampers delivered.

The Knights say delivery day is on Saturday, and volunteers are invited to come help assemble the hampers or use their vehicles to deliver them to the homes that have registered for one.

If you are wishing to help, they ask you to show up at the hamper depot on Meredith Road behind the Nissan Auto dealership. Work is set to start at 8:30 in the morning but they add help will be needed throughout the morning until the early afternoon.

“In past years, the final hamper left the depot at about 2 p.m.,” said the Knights in an announcement. “No matter when you may choose to help, it will be important and appreciated.”

The Knights add that if you want to register for a hamper, late registration forms can be found at the Hamper Fund Donation Office in the Tyee Plaza until Wednesday.
