Small earthquake felt by over 560 people this morning

Some Vancouver Island residents felt the small earthquake recorded in Northern Washington early this morning.

The US Geological Survey says it was a 4.0 magnitude quake at a depth of 51.9 kilometers, with 566 people reporting that they felt it.

The earthquake happened at 7:14 am 6.5 kilometers away from Quilcene, Washington, and 74.6 kilometers from Victoria.

Earthquakes Canada says no damage or tsunami was reported, and none is expected.
