Transit service will resume next week.
BC Transit announced that buses will be running again in the Comox Valley and Campbell River next Monday, and handyDart service will resume this coming Wednesday.
According to Transit, the buses must undergo inspection, cleaning, and on-road testing before returning to service.
Last week, members of Unifor Local 114 voted to approve a new contract reached with their employer, PW Transit.
The strike lasted from December last year to February. Wage disparity was the main concern for the workers.
Transit, Comox Valley Regional District, and the city of Campbell River say that they thank everyone for their patience.
