Police believe two teen girls missing since Monday afternoon are hiding somewhere on Quadra Island.
Dommie Malcomson and Cora Potoski were reported missing on Monday afternoon. Constable Maury Tyre with Campbell River RCMP says today [Thursday Feb 15] that their families are very concerned for their well-being.
At this point in time, we believe that the girls may be attempting to camp in the thick forests of Quadra Island and are ill prepared to be doing so,” he says.
Police are asking anyone on Quadra and Cortes Islands to be extra vigilant and to report any sign of the girls, including recently-used campsites.
Dommie Malcomson is 15 years old, five-foot-seven, with a medium build, long blonde hair, and blue eyes.
Cora Potoski is 16 years old, five-foot-two, with a slender build, long red hair, and blue eyes.
