Crime Stoppers seeks new board members in Campbell River

Crime Stoppers needs your help.

Specifically, they need volunteers to join the board of directors for the Campbell River program, which has been operating since 1990.

Crime Stoppers are community programs to identify and prevent crime. Across BC, Crime Stoppers programs have helped catch murderers, stop drug labs, and find missing people.

In Campbell River the board meets four times per year, and hosts up to six community events annually. Members also support the community through fundraising, event planning, and managing the tip rewards. Crime Stoppers sometimes offers rewards, raised through community donations, to encourage anonymous crime reporting through a toll-free tips hotline.

The city helps the program by funding administrative support, and assisting in promotions.
