City continues partnership with province to lower greenhouse gases

The City of Campbell River and the province are continuing their partnership to provide rebate top-ups for homeowners switching to cleaner alternatives.

These top-ups, offered by the city at $350, are used to benefit those who have switched from a fossil fuel heating system to an electric heat pump.

Heat pumps are described as energy-efficient, climate-friendly heating systems that can also provide air conditioning.

Acting director of community planning and livability Jason Locke says each resident who increases their efficiency helps in reducing overall greenhouse gas emissions in the community.

This comes as part of the CleanBC Better Homes and Renovation Rebate program. You can still get those top-ups until March 31.
