Storm’s Tough Weekend Ends Well

Going into Sunday’s game, the Storm were on a two game losing streak dropping a 3-2 decision in Peninsula on Friday October 16 and taking a 4-2 loss to the Comox Valley Glacier Kings Saturday.

If there were concerns, they quickly disappeared as the Storm scored 5 in the first frame en route to a 6-2 win over the Panthers.

Head Coach Lee Stone says it was time for the team to have fun.

Storm goals came from Gage Colpron, Darryl Senholt, Josh Coblenz, Dylan McCann, and two from Michal Holub.

With the victory, the Campbell River Storm regain full possession of first place in the VIJHL North Division.

The next action for the Red and Black is Friday, a home engagement with the second place Nanaimo Buccaneers.
