With temperatures expected to drop below -4, the city will open a warming centre at the community centre tonight.
They say it will open at 11, and close at 7 a.m. tomorrow. It will be open to all for short-term stays. Visitors can bring pets on leashes and belongings like bikes and carts.
Hot drinks and snacks will also be available, but the city says no beds will be provided.
The centre will be staffed by individuals experienced working with those experiencing homelessness and funding is provided by the province.
