If you have a broken bike, any broken electronic, or maybe a kitchen appliance that doesn’t quite work the same, instead of throwing it out, why not repair it with a little help?
The City of Campbell River is holding a Repair Café this Saturday at the Sportplex from 10 a.m. to 2 o’clock.
Recreation and Culture Program Coordinator Linda Nagle says the topic came up because the city is finding items in the landfill that really don’t need to be there.
She says things break down and people just don’t know how to fix them.
Nagle says they’ll also have a lady helping with cell phones, sewing repairs, and jewelry.
