It will cost less to take your car to the mainland for a few weeks.
BC Ferries has announced a 50% price reduction on vehicle traffic for off-peak sailings, starting in mid-November. CEO Mike Corrigan says they want to see if reduced fares would encourage more people to choose off-peak sailings.
For travelers on the south coast routes, the promotion will be on select Monday through Thursday and Saturday sailings from November 16th to December 19th.
On the north coast routes, including the Port Hardy – Prince Rupert, Prince Rupert – Haida Gwaii and Alliford Bay – Skidegate routes, as well as the Discovery Coast Connector, the half-price discount will apply on all sailings from November 16th to Dec. 19th.
