The Tofino whale watching accident is a huge tragedy.
And owner Jos Krynen of Eagle Eye Adventures in Campbell River says all of his staff is devastated with what happened.
Krynen says they have so much fun on the water doing what they love, but this event is a real reminder of how much responsibility they have out there.
He says his company takes safety very seriously. Each trip they have, they conduct a briefing to the guests before they depart, and they also have the latest in suits that are serving as a life preservation jackets as well.
Krynen adds their hearts are with all the people involved.
