Mini-market along Shoppers Row still seeking vendors

There’s still time to apply to be part of Campbell River’s mini-market, coming to the downtown this summer.

The city will be setting up four units on the triangular patch beside the art gallery complete with heating, ventilation, lighting, and electricity. The units will each have one large sliding window and French doors facing Shoppers Row.

They are aimed at small and home-based businesses who are just starting out. The micro-market will provide a space to set up and do business on weekends, as well as Friday and Monday afternoons.

Community response to the plan has been overwhelmingly positive, although many have raised concerns about security and the lack of public washrooms in the area.
