The city is installing an automatic security gate on McIvor Lake Road to limit late-night access.
Work started this week, but the gate won’t be operational until September 3, according to the city.
Residents who live along McIvor Lake who will be affected are being issued with key fobs to get past the gate, and are being contacted directly by the city.
An exit loop is also being constructed so that visitors to McIvor Lake can still leave the area after the gate is closed for the night.
The gate will be closed nightly between 10 pm and 5 am from April to October, to limit access and help maintain the space.
