Dogwood Street will require some partial road closures for the next few weeks, starting Thursday morning.
The city needs to do maintenance work on the Dogwood detention pond, including tree and sediment removal. That means one north-bound lane will be closed from Rockland Road to South McPhedran Road, and single-lane traffic will be in place intermittently until September 13.
The detention pond needs work so it can continue acting as a stormwater pond, protecting the nearby creek. The multi-use Simms Creek path may also be impacted.
The work will be from 7 am to 4:30 pm. Drivers are asked to follow all traffic controls, and path users are asked to stay away from the detention pond during the work.
