The pool at Strathcona Gardens will be open again after Thanksgiving.
The Strathcona Regional District says the pool had to be closed so the chemical room could be relocated, to accommodate the ongoing construction of the new aquatic centre. Now that it’s been moved, the pool can stay open while the new facilities are being built.
Strathcona Gardens is now working with health and safety officials to meet all regulatory requirements to ensure the pools are safe to use. They are scheduled to re-open on Tuesday, October 15, at 10 am.
In the meantime, the ice arenas are open during the long weekend.
The regional district thanks everyone for their patience during the temporary pool closure.
