Drivers heading north or south of Campbell River today should be aware there are several locations where water is pooling on Highway 19.
DriveBC reports that from Sayward to Cumberland, there are several locations where there’s standing water on the highway. Crews are working to make sure drains are clear.
Meanwhile there is also construction and roadwork going on in several locations, including roadside brush clearing between the Eagles Nest Rest Area north to Woss.
Closer to town there’s utility work happening between Orange Point Rd and Vanstone Rd, as crews are working on wires and other infrastructure. Drivers can expect single-lane, alternating traffic while the work is going on.
Drivers are asked to drive to the conditions, and watch for work crews.
