There’s a traffic signal change at Dogwood and 9th, to make it safer for drivers and pedestrians.
The city has installed a right-turn arrow for eastbound traffic on 9th, so they can more safely turn south on to Dogwood Street, where it is often difficult to see vehicles coming up the hill. It will activate at the same time as the left-turn arrow for northbound drivers turning left from Dogwood on to 9th Avenue.
There will also be an indicator so pedestrians know it’s not safe to walk while the turn arrows are active.
The turn arrows will not operate at night, they will be active from 6 am to 9 pm.
The setup is similar to one recently installed at Dogwood and 16th Avenue.
