Five residents in the Strathcona Regional District won a contest focused on address sign visibility.
According to the District, the contest was held during the summer, with the goal of highlighting the importance of having a visible home address sign in case of an emergency.
They say not having a visible address can lead to confusion and delay from first responders when responding to an emergency.

For this contest, residents installed their own address signs, and shared a photo of the sign with their name and address.
Five people won the contest, with Ambyr, Linda, Sydney, Cleo, and Gale-Ann each getting a surprise gift worth $50.
On social media, the district says they thank everyone who participated in the contest and helped raise awareness on having visible address signs.
