The Laichwiltach Family Life Society is this year’s winners of a provincial award from BC principals and vice-principals.
The Society, which operates a community and learning centre near Cedar School, won a partnership award on November 22 from the association which represents school principals and vice-principals in BC.
The Partnership Award recognizes a group, organization or individual that has had a positive impact on the local community, and supported schools and students over multiple years.
The Family Life Society’s Audrey Wilson says the award recognizes the society’s efforts supporting Indigenous communities and their families, and building positive relationships throughout the school district. She says it shows the value of the society’s programs, and how they connect families, schools, and the community.
