Minor traffic delays are expected for a section of Shoppers Row because of pollarding trees.
The City of Campbell River says crews are pollarding London plane trees, which is an ancient method of pruning.
The aim is to keep mature trees while managing tree size and root growth, with hopes these trees are back in full leaf come the summer.
During this work, the city says minor traffic delays are set for Shoppers Row and Pier Street, with portions of the sidewalk to be closed, and some parking stalls to be allocated for equipment.
The work is set to finish by February 11, with crews pruning from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays.
