The Museum in Campbell River has a special Family Day event happening today, and it’s all about fossils and dinosaurs.
Today the museum has a host of activities planned centred around fossils, including the Mountain Dinosaurs of BC travelling exhibit from the Royal BC Museum.
Members of the Vancouver Island Paleontology Society will be there to answer questions and share insights about how to identify fossils. Bring your own fossil finds for show and tell.
The Ripple Rock Mineral and Gem Club will also be there today featuring a special guest geologist Dr. Duncan Johannessen from the University of Victoria.
The events run all day today, admission is by donation.
