Sailings have resumed after being canceled most of today between Campbell River and Quadra Island today because of high winds.
Sailings resumed with the 3:30 pm departure from Quathiaski Cove, and the 4:00 pm departure from Campbell River.
With winds gusting up to 90 kilometres per hour in the Strait of Georgia and Johnstone Strait, BC Ferries has cancelled all sailings until 3 pm this afternoon.
An alert from Environment Canada says strong southeast winds will continue through this afternoon as a Pacific frontal system approaches the BC coast. They are expected to ease this evening.
