The Discovery Pier will be closed starting on Monday, so the city can make structural repairs.
The repairs will take several months. However, the city expects the pier will be able to partially reopen on Sunday, May 16, allowing public access to the southern portion where the concession stand is located. The city anticipates the pier will be fully reopened by Sunday, May 30.
The public are asked to follow all signage and safety controls in place while the work is underway.
