BC Transit plans service expansions in Campbell River

Several improvements are coming for Campbell River’s transit system, including better service in the evenings and on stat holidays.

Last month representatives from BC Transit presented an update to city council about service and infrastructure improvements coming over the next five to seven years.

Improved service along Route 1, the Dogwood Street route, is also in the works, which council in particular supported as a priority.

Improved connections between Campbell River and the Comox Valley are on the list, along with improved service to Shelter Point and Stories Beach. Service to the airport and Ocean Grove will also be expanded.

BC Transit didn’t provide a timeline for when the improvements will be implemented.
