UPDATE: As of 2:25 p.m., power has been restored to the customers affected by Monday’s outage.

Nearly 500 people are without power today in Campbell River.
BC Hydro says the outages took place at 4:21 p.m. Monday, where a tree fell across their wires, causing a blackout for 491 residents.
The incident happened South of Gorge Harbour Road, and crews are now on-site to try and regain power.
They expect power to return at around 2:25 p.m. today.
